i have been blessed! gearbox is working fine now. Very happy man I am indeed. For the first time snce owning the car i have been able to throttle it properly and i was so impressed lol. All me mates could tell the difference too i was well chuffed.

Didnt get the wheel sorted mind. Got someone else to watch me from behind and they said they couldnt see a thing. I should add the girl who told me this drove a pink ka and isnt the brightest light in the world lol.

However! a couple of gripes. For some reason my one touch drivers side window stopped working for about an hour after i got the car back, no idea why... works agan now so im not fussed. Just a curious little issue. Might be a lose wire or something. My other grpe is they have obvs not put something back rght in my engne bay as when the car idles you can feel like a repetitive knocking in the pedals. Its not very audble, though you can hear it. I think its possibly the fan for the raiator. Maybe some wire is brushing up against t as it comes and goes now and again. Going to have too look tommorow now as obvs its a bt late and i didnt get the car back till 5 when it was already dark.

Still was fuckign excellent being able to put my foot down! fallen in love with the car all over again!

I'd reckon that the "wobbling rear wheel" observation might have been down to a tyre with just part of it wet - so it gave the look of a wobble. The window "thing" - maybe the garage did not reset the one touch after having the battery disconnected. The vibration through the pedals, I get them to have a look at that - might just be an exhaust alignment problem - but needs looking at just in case!

yeh man mines on a 2006 plate aswell (56) if youve got warranty left then rince them for it i say lol.

The window thing almost pissed me off as much as the gearbox i love my one touch window lol.

Ive got the distinct feeling that it s just a wire rubbing on the fan, i havent actually left the house today so the car hasnt had enough time to warm up again. It is a scary thought though if it was something worse... Only does it on idle aswell... Might have to check whether the cluth affects it or not and reman sensitive to the possibility in first and second. Like just hold the revs stable as im driving to pick up any annomalies. If its a serious problem im gonna be so bloody pissed off. Glad ive got the gearbox done and all but if they have broken somethng else there will be fire and the baby jesus will cry at my fury. Ive been writing lyrcs all afternoon so im in a very elaborate mood so excuse the biblical references lol.

with regards to the windows

if the battery has been off, they will need re setting up, this is done by turning the steering wheel from lock to lock both ways

so if you have set it up without realising yourself, by parallel parking for example, this could explain why it seems to have just started working again
