I'm having a problem with my gears:
What happens is when I put a gear in, it will do it, but the base of the gearlever will move around, and it shouldn't! In every normal car, and what the polo used to do, the base of the gearlever stays centeres and the top moves around to get the right gear.
For instance, when I engage the 4th gear, the base of the gearlever goes up into the 3th gear space. But it still gets the gear in and the car runs fine!!!
Does it need some type of fine tuning on the clutch perhaps? I had a new clutch in back in march. And new engine mounts because the gears wouldn't engage.
