Well I bought a K&N 2-3 days ago. Fitted it, but now decided to pay £190 for a BMC CDA so I have a brand new K&N induction kit for sale which is a straight fit for your car. Its just been listed in the for sale section, seconds ago!

A lot of people have rated it higher but you need to buy all the parts to fit it. Where as the K&N is ready to fit.

neither kit will make much difference on a 1.0l or a 1.4 for that matter its more about noise and slight improvement the k+n is a good budget choice if thats what your looking at.
if you want to do something different you could always get a silicon bend and do this, with a jetex filter which are very good (have one on my ibiza cupra) and cheap.
to be honest mate id buy lol howards k&n as with a 1.0l its purely for the noise and k&n is a good kit

Nope thats all you need. Comes with instructions too, very simple.
You get the filter.
Cold feed hose
Clips req.
And all the connectors for the hoses to connect to the bottom of the filter.
This is how easy it is:

That filters for the mk4 upto 2000.
All you need is the correct K&N kit. Why not save a bit of money and buy mine
