AFH Engine

Post by Avinitlarge »

My polo is bust, The cam belt idler pulley has died. Looks like it has melted due to it seizing up. I ve not removed the head but there are at least 8 bent valves. I cant find a head anywhere either. Im gonna have to strip the head and rebuild it, Not unless I burn the bloody thing

Damn!

If the extent of the damage is bad then it may be easier finding another AFH engine, not that they're really readily available!

Its alive again. Cost £250 to do it though

Fitted a full set of valves, New Gates cam belt kit and a Payen head set. It was quite an easy job to do too. It seems to run much better that it did before the idler died. I dod have a small problem though, I will start a new topic though
