Well i bought a set of 4 speakers for my polo and they are 240W RMS. My current Alpine headunit only sends out a 45W x 4 output to the speakers, so was wondering if an amp could increase this to somewhere around 200ish. Would i need a 4 channel amp to increase all the speakers output and what would be the most suitable amp?

Your head-unit should drive these speakers with no problems...
You don't need to match the power handling of the speakers with an amp of the same power.
However, a decent 4 channel amp should give you a bit more oomph...
Try brands such as Phoenix Gold, Alpine, Pioneer, Boston Acoustics etc.

Re: What amp do i need?
Those speakers have a peak power of 240, not an RMS of 240. There RMS is probably around 30. so for them your headunit will be fine. But yes if you wanted more power than a 4-channel amp would be the way to go.
