UPDATE: My GTi badge fell off, haven't had the money to order a new one yet.

Yeh that's pretty much it, I suck at updating this Winter!

Turned into a bit of a cleaning whore though.

Got some new stuff for Christmas,
Image
Some proper buckets with grit guards, more trim gel, wheel sealant, some new towels (my old waffle weave were getting a bit scrathy), some APC, and a sill brush

Car was a proper state, worse it's ever been bar once before!

Foamed the car

Then sprayed some 4:1 Megs APC on the wheels arches and door inserts and hinges (you 3-door owners have it easy believe me!)
Mers shampoo with my woolen mitt and MF mitt using the new buckets,
Chemical Guys trim gel on the splitter and tyres.

It needs a polish and wax really, but I figured I'll be machine polishing it a couple of month so I'l hold out for now!

Yep, I'm lazy and left the front plate on!

The slope gives a nice huage arch gap at the back 8)

Cheers guys.

James - 5-doors FTW indeed! And I never leave my car that long either, I just had work 9 days on the trott so couldn't do anything about it unfortunately :(

Chrisjames - Not that low anymore mate, I came back up for the winter. It's around 70mm at the mo, down to about 90mm in the summer 8)

Haris - Soon as I have a new plate, a mounting bracket is going down!

Petar - They're fine mate. I get a bit of spin but nothing serious (more to do with the weather). Pepperpots are only skinny wheel (6j wide) so they suit fine.

I've always been a massive fan of Poorboy's products, and the feedback of these particular products was confirmed from talk on detailingworld. Plus This kit was the only kit under £150 to supply a smaller backing plate and pads, which I thought was pretty essential.

It's gunna be a slow process, Will be starting it in a few weeks when the car is officially off the road. And will just do bits when I have time upon visiting home. It's staying in my Nan's garage, so should everything looking perfect for show season 8)

Car is looking sweet Tim! I got several of the Poorboy's stuff for xmas, the wheel sealant is a god-sent only takes like a splash of water now to get the brake dust off after long motorway hauls, love it! And also came across Meguiars Last Touch Detailer, but haven't had a spare moment to give it a proper blitz down to trial it yet! Let me know how the polisher goes, my dad is thinking of getting one too, which would be wicked to have a go with when i next go down to visit the olds! And give the beast a severe much needed go with the clay when I get some time off work :D

Cheers mate! Ooh I forgot to get some more clay, bit gutted really, Only got the megs stuff.

I want some citrus Citrus tar and glue remover also actually, so maybe that's enough to justify the postage 8)

I really should stop buying cleaning products and get on with some proper mods!

I've not given Meg's stuff a go before, but heard pretty good things!!

Haha there's never too much cleaning to be done, although I speak from a female perspective so cleaning is in our nature ;)

I was a bit bummed out before xmas someone clipped the corner of my car at Sainsburys, and took all the paint off the bumper, I've cleaned it up and temporarily painted it in cuz it bugged me seeing it how it was. But hopefully gonna get it filled and sorted properly in February when i next go back home. I know what ur gonna say.. just get it smoothed.. :P

It's no bad stuff, but there is better out there.

Haha, well it depends what look our going for! It is immensely annoying when your paint gets damaged. I feel your pain.

didn't realise you were from/commute to Cardiff, you around South Wales much?

You could say I was mildly miffed.. the whole drive back from the shop there were words coming out my mouth I never thought I'd say, lol!

Yeah I work in Cardiff, moved here at the end of September. Surprised you haven't seen me riding around on my set of stilts ;) Used to live down in Newquay, Cornwall so tend to go down there when I get a decent enough stretch off work. But yeah am living in the 'Diff! Was out the other day in work's van and a shiney black gti cut me up at some lights in Caerphilly haha, thought it might have been u but was a different number plate, I was ready to angrily shake my fist if it had been you ;)
