Air Conditioning - is it bust??

Hello chaps

Here's a little poser for those of us who have air conditioning/sunroofs fitted to our cars rather than the (later-spec?) climate control...
I've only used my AC a couple of times but have noticed on both occasions that when set to max. cold (dial all the way to the left) it doesn't really seem to be doing much cooling! On my parent's Bora the effect of the AC is much more noticable and much quicker, after a couple of minutes the temperature in the cabin is easily reduced.

I don't think that my AC is working as it should tbh and, considering it's still under warranty I'm probably going to go and get it looked at, but thought I'd run it past the forum first - any ideas?

Yep, sounds like it's not doing what it should. The fluid it's filled with tends to evaporate over the years, so it *may* just be a matter of refilling the system. Other options are a faulty compressor (does it still 'kick in'?) or a leak somewhere. There's loads more to go wrong, but these are the basics really.

Good thing it's still under warranty!
