Two Small Updates:

Got some H7 LED fogs. They're really good, match my LED sidelights and 6000k xenons no sweat, fron bulbs finally complete! Haven't got any pics as they went straight on last night, bought them from eBay.

Also got myself a new handbrake cover ment for a mark7 GTi from the Bay. Red leather stitched 8).

Took a bit of headscratching to get on, but got there in the end

Really adds to the rest of the Red stitching throughout, and cheaper than the OEM one! 8)

that handbrake does look very smart. matches the red stiching to a tee just as you said.

What problems did you face fitting it then?

Cheers mate!. Aye it won't be long i don't think haha.

Adam - Getting it off was a challenge, there's a tab underneath that you need to lift up so the sleeve slides off. The new handbrake is a slightly different shape to the OEM one, so to get it to work you need to swap the plastic chrome buttons over. they just twist and pull out.

Make must say it looks great!!!!! Top Mod

Think I'll try this on my Mk6 Polo.....Just wanted to ask how difficult is it to fit the cover press button???? I know to remove the cover you just pull it towards the dashboard and it should just clip off...but only concern is to replace the chrome button!!!

Please Advice

Cheers

Button is simple, twist and pull. Just do it gently as the tabs are delicate.

When you buy the handbrake cover, you'll notice on the underside a clip, you simply put a flat head screwdriver in this and the cover slides off. It can take a bit of teasing, but if the get the flat head in deep enough, and get the handbrake at the right angle, it's easy#.

Cheers.

Got some new brakes over the weekend! Drilled and Grooved discs all round, with Green Stuff Pads. Only a month old, sadly off a destroyed lovely Silver GTi. The whole day was such a headache, I didn't even think of taking photos.

Gave my bay a quick clean too, nothing fancy as I haven't got any de-greasing products. Just got some spray water and Megs APC out on it. Finished off with Chemical Guys trim gel and AG rubber and vinyl care

Before:

After: (pics don't show the results too well, as alot of condensation covered the cleaned areas to make them look dull here)

There's loads more to be done under there, it's a work in progress. (ignore the horrible latch well!)
