Re: FMIC Ordered
good man you will love it!!!
Re: FMIC Ordered
Exellent buy sir, sure you'll be very happy!
I'm havin great fun since fitted mine... it's a fantastic mod.
U fitting it yourself? I done mine without too much trouble at all. Only issue I came across was refitting the bumper... Had to cut out a little extra than in the fitting diagram to clear the bolts on the front of the IC/Crash bar.
Also be careful/aware of headlamp position when re-fitting crash bar.
Apart from that.... walk in the park.

Re: FMIC Ordered
Cant wait for it to arrive, says it should be around two weeks tho because they are busy!
Me and my mate are going to fit it at his farm, hes got a big empty shed with a pit in it, so that should help a bit.
How lond did it take you???

i'm glad i had mine fitted by forge tbh
it looked like a right pain job to do but also the guy at forge managed to fit my headlight washer covers better than they were

I done mine in big double garage. It took me and my mate about 5hrs (no rushing)..... there's a shed load of T25/T30 Torx screws to undo!
Download Forges DIY guide.... It's really easy as tells you where all the fixings are.
The pit may come in handy to remove the undertray and plastic clips from under the car.... after that roll it forward and the rest can easily be done from the top.
I put the wheels on lock and jacked up the car slightly (wheels still on ground) for better to access to the inner arches. The single screw that holds the bumper to the wing is a bit of a pig... Make sure you've got the tools get at this before you do anything!
It doesn't say on the guide, but for better access to the IC hoses I also removed the drivers side arch lining. It's more T25 screws
Removing the crash bar - I used 2 trolley jacks (one on each side) to support the radiator assembely. I figured it would be easier to make adjustments if anything moved... which it did slightly
When putting the crash bar back on make sure the bolt holes and everything else central and level, then tighten up the silver coloured bolts first. If you need to make any adjustments you'll find the top-inside edge torx screws (with fine thread) take the weight/position of the rad assembley.... It didn't take too long to get everything checked, checked again and secure.
As said above... Had to cut out a little extra than in the fitting diagram to clear the bolts on the front of the IC/Crash bar to get bumper back on.
Aswell as the tools required in the guide don't forget - Grips (for stock IC hoses), Junior hacksaw & sharp knife for trimming inner bumper.
Fair play to the guys who had fitted at forge... it saves hassle and standing in the cold
Definatly a 2man DIY thou!
Let us know how you get on

Re: FMIC Ordered
So far i have PD160 intake, drilled airbox, Forge TIP, APR R1 D.V, Custom 2.5" D.P, and APR stage 2. Once the FMIC and milltek cat back is on ill get the full use of Stage 2
Also goin to fit the N75J valve once they are on to see how it runs.

Re: Edit*** Now Fitted FMIC
Well started off this morning at half ten and we were both all finished for just before two so all went well, very easy kit to fit indeed as long as you have all the tools needed, only bit that was a little hassle was getting everything to line up after the crash bar was taken off, my lights were a bugger to line up
but got there eventually
Anyway here is some pics i took
SO much more top end power
and the inlet manifold is freezing after i booted it. Now for my Milltek and refit the N75J valve

SO much more top end power

Re: Edit*** Now Fitted FMIC
mint its amazing how much top end you get from it and how cold the manifold is!!!
Re: Edit*** Now Fitted FMIC
you both need to look at upgrading your stock brakes now before going much further to make sure you can stop quicker than you can accelerate
believe me, the exhaust alone even before stage 2 feels like another mini remap
