More info on lowering my polo

Post by vw_joe »

Hi people.

I'm new to this today. I have a 1.4L at the moment. Not done much with it at the moment with not having a lot of cash. Only got the K&N air filter, debadged grill and some old 1000 migila alloys on it.

I'm thinking of lowering it but i would like some opinions on how much and what type of suspension to get etc. Obviously working to a budget. :D I'm wanting to keep the alloys i have on at the moment. The current tyres i have on are 185/60 R14. Wondering if anyone would have any idea on the best profile tyre to go for depending on the amount i lower it by?

Hope i can get a few ideas.

Cheers

50 or 60 mm is a good size to lower. That is what i will be doing and im running on 195/45/16. Im getting coilovers for £170 from someone on ebay called hot tuning, will put the link on here, but if im right tim has got these and im sure there are a few other people on here that do have them to.

Yep, I've got them and they're great for the money.

What width are your wheels?

Sorry i ment 195/45/15. Crazy fool, but it still wouldnt be a problem if they were 16's.
