MK4 Golf seats into MK5 Polo

I have been offered a set of Golf GTI front seats does anyone know if they will drop straight in or will modifications be needed for them to fit properly ?

nope they will need new subframes, only seats that go in to mk5 polo is mk4 polo seats, ibiza seats and mk3 golf but the last 2 need minor mods to make them fit, wouldnt the golf seats be abit big for the polo? dont think ive seen a set in there before? id go for it mate, get some sub frames made up!

Although.....there was a mk5 on here a while back with some Golf recaro seats that had been fitted by grinding off part of the golf subframe and bending something underneath and they fitted straight in.

im in similar situation. i can get some leather seats which are currently in a mk3 golf vr6, but they were taken from a mk4 golf.. So will it fit my 6n2 polo??

Jus got off the phone to the guy,. hes sayin that i have to slightly modify the seat frames as they are wobbly, same for the back seats..

i think its too much of a job, need to look elsewhere for mk3 seats..

i'm going to test fit them at weekend just to see if theres enough space, how hard is it to get a sub frame made up is it a specialist job or would i be able to get them done at a metal fabricators
