Engine Conversion

i was wonderring how much it would cost for me to get a bigger engine fitted to my M reg polo mk4.its a 1.0Litre. would i need to get any other parts for the car so it would work.

if anyone could help it would b much appriated[/img]

what engin where you going to put in, if its only a 1.4 16V you mite as well by the car, the insurance would be cheaper!!!

if u can afford it, buy a car that has a bigger engine. youll get more equipment as well like elec windows, cent locking, alloys etc.....

am not bothered about all the extras.ive done alot to this motor an i fell like a wee bit more power so i was just wondering how much for a bigger engine and if it would fit

i thot u just went for a bog standard 1.0! sorry :oops:
i would personally go for a 1.4 16v engine, 100bhp 0-60mph in 10.5secs. :wink: i dont c the point going for a 1.4 8v, nice engine but if youre after power and on a lowish budget, go for the 16v :D

How much would you say it would cos for a 1.4 16v and would that fit straight into my engine base thing.

what kinda neons r they? anyway i think breakers are your best bet. remember you want bigger brakes etc...

Youll need the engine, ecu, loom (from engine to interior fuse box), driveshaft, gearbox, hubs and brakes, and fuel pump.

www.volkswagenspares.co.uk oftenly get engines in just give them a ring,

cheers m8 i dont know wat kind of neons they are! wat else would i need other that bigger brakes. it says that site cannot be found.all that work will probably cos me a couple of grand

i dont think it costs that much, im sure u can buy a whole car 4 that money! my mate bought his 1.4 8v P reg for £1500

you can but a whole car 1.4 16v for around £3000
