What mods to do on a 9n?

Post by Davocarrog »

Not the obvious, lowering, alloys... Im thinking subtle mods.

Stuff like shortening doorpins so they sit flush with the doorcard when the cars locked, and cubby box.

Anyone think of some more to add?

Get some pic of the car up mate.

You could colour code the bump strips
Gloss B pillars
De badge
Short Aerial

Small things like that make all the difference

Havent got the car just yet, Plan on getting a Black or Anthracite TDi.

Yeah you can get a few different kits, just do a search on google.

Is it a 1.4 or a 1.9 your getting?

1.4, and will be treating it to a remap.

Need to sell my 106 first, was an alright car to learn in, and have to drive to work for a while, just getting bored of it, Want something comfy and nippy :)

With a remap you should be looking at around 105bhp, I know pip_polo has had his done by custom code.

I've only really done small mods to my car. Got a cubby box, replaced the grab handle above the drivers side window with a sunglasses holder, got some Beetle Sport (I think?)door pins (only difference really is that they are silver!), I've installed a VW MFD Sat Nav unit which looks loads better than the standard radio and sounds a hell of a lot better too, and put the 6disc CD Changer in the glove box instead, got a chrome front grill, and my most recent mod is a Votex boot spoiler.

Like I said, I've only ever done small things, as I'm not really into the big mods - mainly cuz I havent got a clue what I'm doing,

sungalsses holder
LED lights allover (replace all normal bulbs on the car (also makes it look cleaner ;)))
sprayed the rear badge backing silver (colour coded it)
