Seat Bushes

Post by polospeed »

I have been and got myself a seat sport strut brace and console bushes. I am going to try and fit both of these in the coming week.

All I want to know is should I also replace the wishbone bushes while I am on. I know you powerflex do them but does anyone know if seat also do a uprated set?

Any help would be great guys :D

No, Seat do not supply uprated wishbone bushes - ie small TCA front bushes. These bushes come as part of the TCA and in normal service can not be replaced, If a Skoda,Volkswagen or Seat came into a dealer's workshop with failed TCA front bushes they would replace the complete TCA assembly. Luckily, Powerflex do supply a two part replacement bush - the old one needs to be cut out, quite a few Fabia and Ibiza owners have replaced this while fitting the Cupra TCA or console rear bush.

Word of warming make sure you've got all the right kit to attempt the console bushes they are a real git of a job.....Big ratchet strap essential to get the arm back in, console puller etc.....Check the guides that are about on Brisoka or drop me a Pm if you need anything.
