smashed my little 1.4 16v mk5 polo tonight at 21.45

and its a write off

hit some ice round a corner and hit a road sign which has took the back passenger side door and crumpled the roof

R.I.P little polo

ill post some piccs of the damage tomorrow cus its too dark to take pics plus its snowing

think im gonna get a family car something like a 1.6 sxi astra H as found out 2 weeks ago me and mrs are expecting

yep jus had a few cuts and bruises but nothing major....jus glad no one was in the passenger seat or back

dont mean this in a rude way, sure you got other things to sort first, but if you are going to break it i would be interested in some parts

i dont know wot im going to do with it yet was thinking about putting it on ebay with a reserve as the engine is still running great jus the roof and door battered so hopefully someone out there will give me a good enough offer and strip it all out
either that or im gonna strip it out myself and post the stuff on the for sale section

Really sorry to hear about the car but it's only a bit of metal which can be replaced.

Btw mate if its still there would it be ok to buy the dash and bits off it? I could pop down in the week and take the bits off myself?

Would be nice to see the car go to some use and get some money out of it, also would be convienent for me because I could pop down over a couple of days without rushing to get it out lol!

insurance dont know its been lowered but dont know ive had a smash either

luckily no one else was involved and some of my mates with tricked up 4x4's towed me out before any police arrived so im safe

Was it third party then mate? Bad thing with me is that its not justifable to go on fully comp for me as if I crashed and didn't hit anyone, a claim against my name would be more costly than stripping mine down and buying another! Lol.
