got a problem, help??

last night when i was going home each time i put it into 1st gear the engine cut out. i happened like 10 times each time, not sure if its the weather
i dont know what to suggest whats wrong with it??

Put a bit more info up, When you put it in first gear? Clutch in/out, what sort of speed/stopped etc. Is the car well looked after/serviced? Will help in trying to diagnose what may be wrong.

it was wen i was goin 5mph-0mph nd i had clutch fully down,
not revvin it over 2000 either
gonna go have a look at it as soon as i have done a few jobs

Does the rev counter sometimes manage to save itself by not cutting out but instead rising again after a drop to 500(ish)rpm?

I'm guessing you have an idle issue. The revs idle erratically however, when the problem gets worse the engine just cuts out instead of reviving itself. Search for 'irratic revs'. Sounds like a similar problem. I found that the problem gets worse during the colder seasons and hardly takes place during summer!
