as i posted before about my clutch, turns out its the release bearing so a new clutch is needed.
i have been quoted £253 from a vw specialist garage for the entire clutch kit. including parts (genuine vw parts) labour and vat.
does that sound about right?
cheers guys

Re: New clutch quote
That's a top end price I'd say. Be aware, VW genuine clutch parts are reconditioned to new....... not new.
Re: New clutch quote
cheers tim,
to buy the parts direct from vw would cost me £190 and that was reconditioned parts.
i've asked the garage if they are reconditioned parts, and he said they would be brand new genuine parts. not reconditioned.
i trust the garage as there friends of the family and have done my mot previous to this =]
fingers crossed there wont be any more problems =]

Re: New clutch quote
Check what kit it is though mate. There's alot of bunk kits out there for the 6N2.
