Expertise needed

Post by Aziise »

Well when i attempted to get some new alloys i realised i was a complete noob at alloys

How do i know what my "PCD" and "ET" are?

The tyres i have now are 195/45/r15 - and they are 4 stud - polo 6n

Can anyone help?
Thanks :D

PCD is the stud diameter, 4X100 is what you need. Which means there's 4-studs with a diameter of 100mm between them (I THINK).

ET is offset, this tells you how far the wheels stick out from the hub, the lower the ET, the further they stick out from the hub and into the hub. 35-40 is the average offset. Anything below offers more poke, anything more is more tuck.

As Tim explained really.

The ET depends on the fitment of alloys you have.
