Hi,
In this cold winter (10 degrees is freezing cold for me, in Portugal), im gettin no hot air from the vents.
Cold air, i get enough, with a strong flow. Switch to hot air and it looses strenght and nothing hot happens, so to say!!!
What should I check?
The fan, blower motor, the coolant?
Ideas?
No hot air

Re: No hot air
what temp is your gauge reading?it should stay at around 90.if it sits at 90 while in traffic then drops down towards 70 while moving then the thermostat is faulty, otherwise it may be an airlock
Re: No hot air
You will know if the fan is working, you should hear it working, to test, turn ignition on but don't start the engine, turn the fan control and you should hear the fan speed up or slow down. There are cables fitted to the heat control and the vent position control, these operate flaps, I'm not sure on the lhd setup, but if you look under the dash you should see 2 cables that attach to flaps, turn the knobs on the dash and watch to see if they move, if they don't move and they appear to be attached to the levers you will have to remove the front dash heater control panel to check the cables are connected to the heat and vent controls. To do that unclip the panel covering the knobs and then remove the screws holding the panel on, you should see 2 cables connected to levers, if they are not reconnect them and check their operation. A quick test to check that water is going through the heater matrix, you will see 2 hoses going through the bulkhead into the car, carefully touch each hose to see if they are hot, best done about a few minutes after the car has started (do this with the car stopped for safety), remember the water going through these hoses could be as hot as boiled water in a kettle, one will be slightly cooler than the other, if one is hot and the other very cold it could mean either an airlock or the heater matrix is blocked.
