2003 1.2l polo

the engine is turning and has sparks on all 3 cyl, plugs are wet but will not fire, at time oil light comes on and ring three times but not always, how to solve ? appricate all help.

Sorry for not seeing this earlier, I can't explain why no one answered, so if you had used the search function on this forum, on http://www.seatcupra.net and http://www.briskoda.net you would get some clues - but I'd reckon that you will have found out the reason - timing chain problem? by now. Just one other thing, I think that all VAG engines will "bring on" their oil pressure warning if you keep cranking them over without them starting - I'd reckon that the monitoring s/w just disables this oil warning for maybe 10 seconds - then enables it again, but if the engine has not fired up, the pressure will still be low - so as you discovered, you get this warning - don't think that there is more to it than that!

One final thing, if you are thinking about returning to this forum (after your ignored first posting!!), I'd reckon that anyone with problems with either of the 9N types of Polo are better off posting into the 9N or 9N3 sections of the forum as lots of these car's owners probably don't look much in the Power Train sections.
