Check light on the dash

Post by Brad. »

Was just reversing into my drive last night, and the check luight came on, on the dash.
The one with the picture of the engine and the little arrow going into it.

Looked in the book and it said something about emissions.

Anyone shed any light on this?
The car is acting fine, no difference in acceleration etc...

That engine check light refers to a number of different things. You can only tell what it is if something is playing up, or get vag com out on it. Chances are it's just a sensor playing up though, and a fault will just need clearing.

Ah good to hear.
My mums boyfriend has got a fault code reader, don't think its actually Vag-Com. Do you specifically need Vag-Com to clear faults or?
