Quick Question About Wheels
Quick Question About Wheels
Dont know if anyone could help me, i want to buy some Alfa Romeo wheels but am not sure about fitmaents. The oes im after are the ones that basically are flat with the five round holes in them, like you find on the gtv and 145. I know the 145 wheels are four stud but i dont know what fitment they are, so if any of you know can you let me know?

Plan is to spray them black whilst i save for/think of some propper wheels! I have lots of time as im not on the road yet (test tuesday!) but just wanted to know. Cheers, Jack.

Re: Quick Question About Wheels
Just read that whole thread, and from what i gather, they will likely be 4x98 and all 'll need is wobbly bolts and maybe spigot rings?these wheels are slghtly different but i take it the pcd will be the same.

Re: Quick Question About Wheels
You'd most likely need wobble bolts or some custom/rare adaptors to fit them. Quite the effort if your planning to have them simply whilst you save up for different wheels.
Gti Monzas and Porsche Teledials are both more compatible and similar wheels.

Re: Quick Question About Wheels
I don't think monza's fit Tim, I looked into it a lot when I was going to do it and with a tyre size 205/40/16 + a 20mm adapter then the rim wont fit inside the arch.Tim_GTi wrote: Gti Monzas and Porsche Teledials are both more compatible and similar wheels.

Re: Quick Question About Wheels
195/40s on them with a 15mm adaptor would work i would've thought? Would bring the ET down to 20 or so.
Re: Quick Question About Wheels
I guess Tim, although you'd get a bit of stretch going on? Would be an ace look though!!

Re: Quick Question About Wheels
They're only 6.5j! Would be the same as running some RXII 16"s, same ET also, you just get 15mm more of poke
Re: Quick Question About Wheels
Ahh mint that sounds good, do many tyre places offer to fit 195s on a usually 205 type tyre? I do love the Monza's, perhaps I better find a set without tyres
Sorry to hijack your thread mate lol!

Re: Quick Question About Wheels
Yeh mate, they'll fit 195/40s no prob. It's not a hard fit by any means, there's no stretch at all, Look at Alex's wheels, they're 6.5 with a 195/40 on.
Just take it to a trusted place, I had a garage f**k me over with tyre fitting before, wasn't good!

Re: Quick Question About Wheels
Wobbly bolts aren't that expensive though, and i doubt i'd need adaptors. And when i say whilst i wait for other wheels, i mean probably by the end of the summer or something, i havent actually seen any that tikkle my fancy yet, and when i do, it would be handy to have some winter wheels, especially if next winteris as harsh as this one!Tim_GTi wrote:You'd most likely need wobble bolts or some custom/rare adaptors to fit them. The monzas are only 5 stud though, so this wold be a mision to fit, as are the teledial, plus teledials are way expensive. I have some design 90's lying around but again i'd need some adaptors, plus they'te 16" with ultra wide tyres on.Gti Monzas and Porsche Teledials are both more compatible and similar wheels.

Re: Quick Question About Wheels
Take into account that wobbly bolts are really not the best option for attaching wheels. They're what keep you on the tarmac, I personally wouldn't go near them. Just save up for some proper wheels, or get the D90s on the road!!

Re: Quick Question About Wheels
alfa's will look sik bro, n u no we're selling them D90's! i could do with that money!!
Re: Quick Question About Wheels
Yeah but with the spiggott rings (if they're even neded) the wheels will be sitting snugly on the hubs anyway, and if wobbly bolts were that dangerous, im sure they wouldnt sell them!Tim_GTi wrote:Take into account that wobbly bolts are really not the best option for attaching wheels.
