VW POLO 6N 1.4 Problem

Hi All

I have a starting problem with my polo. It runs fine BUT ocassionally when you turn the key it will just tick over and nothing will happen. You have to keep the key turned for around 30 seconds whilst its still ticking and eventually the car starts. I am not sure what the problem is.


I had the AA come out and they said its a lamda sensor. This is the fault that came up on thier computer.

I had a mechanic say that there is a electrical fault with the ignition!!!

Do you think it can be this or is there anything else?

Have you had a battery capacity check?

no i havent had a batttery check

the battery was bought quite recently from halfords

do you think it could be the battery????

If it's been bought recently I doubt it would be the battery.
