Bill, who you got the kit from, sells EBC plain discs at a good price, grooved/drilled look nice though - see what price he can do those for you...

And order some rear 256mm kit from him, I know he has some in stock, and they are priced good ;-) Makes the braking much more balanced.

TAROX SETUP, I COULD NOT LOVE MINE MORE, THE DIFFERENCE IS MINDBLOWING

AND WHEN YOU ANCHOR ON OR BRAKE FIRMLY, YOU GET AN AWESOME WHIRLING SOUND AS THE HEAT AND GASSES ARE EXPELLED

Why not Ebay .. the 312mm calipers I have were totally refurbed to "as new" condition... all new seals, pistons, etc, etc and shot blasted clean....

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-Audi-312mm-fro ... 240%3A1318

and a total bargain..... the guy can also supply all the EBC stuff if so required... he is a very helpful chap :-)

for the rear 256mm vented see...

shame you werent a little closer... we would have thrown them on for a drink ;-) its like 5 mins for each side...

Just take off the wheel, remove caliper, pads and carrier then disc - then just bolt up the new stuff...

Worst bit for you might be bleeding the brakes... ??? as you will let some air in when you disconnect the brake pipe from the caliper..

Have fun...

I just changed all my discs and pads again... grooved and drilled discs. now with EBC reds... still bedding the reds in but they feel damn good already.. more noisey than the standard pads on grooved/drilled discs... but i kept cooking the standard pads....so they had to go..

yeah the pads and discs aren't a problem (changed them all round on my mates passat the other month which was a Charlie Uniform November Tango as some one fitted the wrong size discs  )

so once i disconnect the brake pipe is the fluid going to run out or will it be held in the pipe?

if it is stays in the pipe i guess you wouldn't get much air as you would just refit the pipe and loosen the bleed nipple and apply the brakes slowly with the engine off??

yes you will loose a little fluid... pinch the pipe with some grips and less escape.. but like you say just bleed them.. and no probs...
