GTi Badges!

Having seen the pics of Josh' Polo and a few others with the same mod I'd like to swap my silver VW badges both front and back for black ones, and have ordered the parts off the 'net.

How easy is it to get them off the car and fit the new ones? The front shouldn't be too difficult (pull it out?) but the back one is slightly more complicated - is it glued on or bolted on?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers.

Front one takes about 2 minutes

Rear one needs warming up then very carefully prising off... It's glued on.

just out of interest where bouts did you get them off the net and how much for?

I found them here whilst I was absent-mindedly crusing the information highway. They're in the parts section for the Golf R32; front badge Â£12, rear badge Â£9 plus any costs for shipping...

Any suggestions of how to "warm up the rear"?! Havin a little trouble getting it off.

I lifted the rubber around the rear badge, then poured almost boiling water down the gap.

This loosened up the glue pad, and I just got my fingers inside the gap and pulled.

Be VERY careful though. Don't want any burned fingers!
