Driving home the other nite in my 6n2 gti, the lights began to flicker on and off, so i swiched them off as i did the sterio packed in and the lights didnt come back on, about 2 mins later the ABS warning light came on and then the airbag warning light, the window wipers also were very slow crossing the screen, once i got home the car would only start after turning over for about 10 seconds, after leaving it overnight the car dosnt start at all, the battery is now on charge to see if that can start things.
please any ideas would be apperciated as my local vw dealer is populated with monkeys....

Sounds like your alternator has gone pop, or your battery is shot. Did the battery warning light come on at all?
