head unit

Post by jezza »

i have a problem with the wiring (i think) for the head unit. If i change settings on the unit, like bass treble and even pre set radio station's etc, as soon as i take the key out of the ignition and then put it back in it has lost it all. My mate said it could be the memory wire that goes to the battery. This is getting really annoying now to. Any suggestions or help?

You need to swap the wires round on the ISO Block on the back of the Head Unit. If I remember correctly it needs to be Red to Yellow & Yellow to Red.

In VW the Power (Yellow) and Memory (Red) are the other way round.

That should solve your problem.
