Help Needed With New Alloys

Post by lolhoward »

I have just fitted my new alloys. But I now get a knocking noise when braking. Like when you get a stone in your tyre, but more of a thudding? The faster i'm going the faster the noise until I stop. Slowing down by its self is ok. I had 195/55/14 and now have 185/45/15 so the wheel size isnt a problem. the alloys have been balanced but if correct or not, not too sure. Any thing else it could be. Or anything req to do when fitting new alloys?

Cheers guys.

Now solved on my own :D

It was the new tuner bolts that were too long going into my drum and rubbing/knocking. Fitted some 5mm spacers on the rear and all is fine. Just need some for the front now.
