have you got the springs sitting on anything at all.i had a look at doing it but looked like there would have been loads of room for it to move +
the metal on metal of the spring and the bit it sits in,didnt know if this would be good?

if you just remove the top part, it will still seat correctly, and sit about 10 mm lower

is safe and beats removing the full assembly

i am wanting to do this because mine isnt low enough on the back, so is it still safe to do this? as at the min the adjuster thing that is bolted to the axel seems to be holding it in right, but if i took it out it seems like it might risk sliding out?

i removed the rear adjusters fully and the spring didnt sit right really its best to leave the base in cos if you jump your car and the rear spring falls out your fooked! Also if you dont have modified bump stops on your shockers you will all be running on the bump stops with no adjuster ring as i found out! You need to remove the bump stop cut about and inch out of the middle and glue it back together works bob on and makes your car follow the road and bumps alot better with less bounce!
