hids are no good for flashing, i'm alse interested to see what people use as over 6k mainbeam is really yellow

I am going to buy a set off the bay too see what they are like. They aint on for long so might last awile

HIDs are fine for full beams, I use them.
They naturally have a burst of full power when you flash them, so they are fine for that.
They then power down and build up brightness after around 7 seconds. This only has to be done to warm the bulbs up though, once you've powered them up once they'll be good for 5-10mins before having to do it again.
I'd never use any other type of bulb!
