Coilovers Fitted - Post fitting question

Post by sc00byd00byd00 »

Hiya Fellas,

Just had some coilys fitted;

I was told that I need all 4 wheels laser aligned, but just spoke to a mate who works for the RAC and he seems to think that the Mk4's are just bolt on bolt off jobs on the back so you can't even adjust the camber on them.

Infact, all I need is just the tracking done on the front....... can anybody confirm either way ??

Cheers,

Scott

Camber can be adjusted fully on the front, however at the rears they are only adjustable a tiny bit. You won't get a perfect match at the back, but the front should be pretty accurate.

Camber can be adjusted within the bolts that attach the strut to the hub. i found that when getting mine down that a few places thought it wasn't possible.

as far as im aware u can only do the front ones. i went to get them done a while ago and they said they cant do it cause the rear wheels arnt right. i told them the rear wheels are on a straight rod and cant be adjusted so its just the front ones.u can raise and lower the rear as much as u want dont have to get them adjusted. the front ones u do tho.
