ran out of water earlier on 2nite on my polo mark4 6n and steam came out the engine (seen the red flashing light n not knowing what it was tried to make it home) tho i seen steam and thot fire n bailed out n phoned the fire brigade, anyways after letting it cool and adding water i took it a little run again half an hour ago and immediatly it was heating up again. can anyone help me? add kyle20032004@hotmail.com on msn if you can help!

Think your waterpump has gone mate. Where was the steam coming from?

It could just be a leaking radiator, or one of your coolant pipes has split
