Hi Martin

I have a 9n 2004/5 model polo I have recently fitted 9n3 gti full suspension and brake sytem with no problems so the answer to your question is yes. just watch if you are lowering too much the front arb may hit of your half shafts easy resolved by using shorter drop links.

Thats great pal thanks for that the only problem i am still worried with will these springs fit gti shocks, you have proved that the
full units are changeable but what about mixing them? did you notice any real difference in the size or setup
with your standard shocks and springs compared to the gti......

thanks again for your help

Yeah, the "sport" trim and GTi models all sit 15mm lower by default. However, I believe the same shock absorbers are used throughout the range regardless of model.

Also, I wouldn't go anywhere near Spax springs with a barge pole...they're too hard. You'd be better off going for the Eibach Pro Kit for circa £115.

Got to agree about Spax springs being to hard, my missus wouldnt get in my car until I had removed them.

as one of the posts state the shockers are the same no matter what polo you have 9n or 9n3 just the springs are different the only thing I found was I had to replace my steering end ball joints as worn but easily changed, once done get the tracking done as you will be out. I managed to get with in 1 degree so wasnt far out.

I've got H&R springs that claim to lower 35mm. If i was you though i'd save a bit longer for coilovers!!! The transformation they make to cars cornering ability is just immence. 8)
