Driveshaft issue?

I have experienced a noise today on my way into work, sounds very much like my front n/side tyre is flat - i even pulled over to check but it was fully enflated.

When i have my foot on the clutch the noise goes briefly then starts back up the longer i hold the clutch down for.

I also get a very slight whine when turning sharp (not quite on full lock) but as my car is slammed on it's ass i thought that to be expected?

What could this be guys?
