hey everyone new to this site but im in need of help owned my polo 6n for 3 years and have numerous engines in and out of it but the latest one seems to have developed a problem in the morning or when cold starting when you accelerate the gearbox seems to have a rattle/vibration especially when you lift off the gas in first gear especially it does go after a bit 20 mins or so had numerous people look at it and they have heard it and it is loud but they dont seem to able to find what the problem is just wondering if anyone has encountered the same problem or know what it is

well let me rephrase it then my car vibrates from the gearbox, it sounds as if it is coming from the gearstick but i know that is not the problem. it happens when you lift off the accelerator

What happens when you press the clutch down? If the noise doesn't continue then it is probably the bearings.

it was the the release bearing on the gearbox got it fixed now cost £100 thanks for the help
