right located a vagcom device from the bay lucky enough a guy local was selling it. i done a scan a got the following 16585-16587 which is circuit malfunction on cylinder 1,2,3. from my experience im guessing that a coil pack needing replaced. am i right in saying that?
or would replacing the spark plugs maybe fix it? if so what do i look for as iv never done plugs before

Could well be a coilpack with a fault on that many cylinders, though check the leads are all in good nick first.

i replaced one of the coils today, actually think its fixed will let you know in a few days when i use it a bit
