oil smell...

Guys when i was driving abt yesterday and today i can smell oil and petrol :| has any1 experienced something like this before. Im scared that there can be a seriouc issue with the car, am i right or wrong??

Do you have an after market air filter with breather filter?

got a pipercross induction kit, but ive been driving with this airfilter for weeks.
you reckon its that tim??

Yeh probably. Where is your breather filter located?

breather filter being the smaller filter connected to a small black pipe. Looks like this:

dunno ma mate done it for me :| i will check tomoro morning but are you sure this could be the problem! im just gettin paranoid lol spent too much on it :(

Yeh. Mine stinks all the time. To get rid of it you need to re-direct it to closer to the front or bottom of the bay. Instead of up the top close to where the air draws in for the heaters. I've just enve got round to doing if for mine!

Yeah its deffo that mate, Mine stinks of oil and engine were i have an air filter!

Could try getting an oil catch tank and relocating it downwards!

You never know, but its 90% going to be that. Check in your engine bay what's on the end of that pipe though. As oil could just be spitting everywhere.

i think its not linked to anywhere so as you said it started spitting, ill sort it out.
