Refurbing a set of BBS RXii.
Refurbing a set of BBS RXii.
Are they particulalry hard to do?
Like putting them back together and sealing them?
Is it costly?
Can it be done with the tyres on?
Is there a guide anywhere, with a list of equipment etc?
Thanks:)

I haven't done it myself but know your ment to remove the tyres before hand. the nitromors you use to help strip will damage the tyres. Plus it would be alot easier for yourself.

Its hard work, but so satisfying when your done. It took me a few weeks to do mine, but it was worth it!
Re: Refurbing a set of BBS RXii.
A few weeks?!
Dayum. I thought it would only take like 2 weekends or something.
Hmmm.
I've been thinking about the Lip, what happens with that once it's been sanded down. Is it Re-lacured or just left?

Two weekends would be sufficient I would've thought.
Re: Refurbing a set of BBS RXii.
So yeah.
I might just do it.
All i need to know is about the Lip. Would it be re-lacured or just left. I'm confused.

Pretty sure it's just left. And you have to keep it polished up. I'm not 100% sure though, as I've never tried myself.

Re: Refurbing a set of BBS RXii.
It depends on the quality of finish you wish to achieve on how long it will take.
Once its shiny, you dont relacquer - you just keep it polished up.

Sorry for all the questions.
Would it be with something like Poorboys wheel sealant? Or an actual metal polish?

The polish? Autosol or autoglym metal polish or really any good metal polish will work.
Re: Refurbing a set of BBS RXii.
Ah sound spretty easy. Just a wipe round a i presume?
I might just do it for the expirience then.
