GTI Digital Thermometer - Dodgy readings

Post by VR6 South »

I know the weather changes at the drop of a hat in this country. The reading on the digital thermometer of my GTI seems to fluctuate more than the speedo on Knight Rider :) I didn't feel it but apparently (according to the read out) it was -33 at one point yesterday  . First point will be to clean the connectors and temp sensor but where do they live???? Has anyone else experienced this or anything similar?

I think the temp sender lives behind the front bumper.
