Funny noise!

Post by oliver12 »

Well i got a funny noise coming from the n/s front wheel its like a rubbing/owling noise the noise comes around quicker the

faster i go, i have had the wheel off and visualy inspected it and cant see nothing wrong there, has anyone got any indeas

could this be wheel bearing.

Just to had the idiot who owned the car before me cut the standard springs so its running on chopped springs till my new 60mm drop ones arrive, i thought it could be them but ruled that out has its only coming from 1 wheel ?

Thanks in advance!

Even if all springs are cut it doesn't mean to say only one is being problematic. It could also be a bearing or something. Did you turn the wheel and check when visually checking?

Could be a bearing, a stuck caliper, a warped brake disk, a bad driveshaft. Many things :(

Wheel bearing is like a humming noise that gets louder with speed.

It sounds more like a warped disk, or a bucked wheel as its happening at a certain point.

No quick reply's from Alex on Sunday though. He'll be tearing the strip up!

I think i either have a sticking caliper or a warped disc from the noise i have under braking.
