rear window demister

my rear window dimister wasnt workin so i took it out the dash and to my suprise somebody had cut the blue wire that goes to the rear window demister switch and connected another blue wire from the stereo to it ? any body know why that was there ?

Probably used it as a power trigger wire for the stereo, bit lazy!! Just wire another feed off this for your switch.
