1.4 16v convertion.

I have 1.4 16v 6n2, I want to put the polo 125bhp gti engine in it. What do i need and how hard is it to do.

youll need to full engine, box, loom inside and engine side, keys, transponder, immobiliser, brakes, rear axle, and a fair bit more if you want it to work,

All that. What engine can i use that wont need all that, ie engine, box ecu ect.

there isnt one. you always need the loom ecu etc. its a different engine so has different sensors, modules etc

LOL I ment that i dont need new axel ect. I want to just change engine, ecu+wireing, gear box, clutch. If you get my meaning. (I know i dont explain well)

Is yours a 75bhp or a 100bhp

Will a 2001, y reg pass MOT with de cat pipe. Are there any cons to having a de cat?

You'll have to have a slot in Car. All cars past 1980 something have to have a cat to pass the MOT

Right thought it`d fail. What you mean "slot". Saw garage yesterday he said a remap wouldnt make any difference, is he lazy or has he got point. Do i need to do all engine mods then at end do remap based on the engine mods i`v done?

Yes, it's best to do the relevant mods, then get a remap after.
