track rod end bolts......

hi guys and gals (again) just a quick one, any ideas on how to do up the track rod end bolts other than putting weight on them? the bolt keeps spinning a\nd i can't do the nuts up lol

You usually hold onto the track rod arm with a pair of marlgrips (sp?)... and then do up the locking nut that clamps against the track rod end.....

basically we started to undo the bolt on the track rod end, got to the bottom and just before it came off the last couple of threads it jammed and the threaded bit that comes through started turning, usually we just apply pressure to the top of the track rod but this time it failed to work lol. tried to hold it in place with grips etc but thats not working either! think its going to be a cut it off job and whack a new one on........ bugger.
