opinions - maybe more new wheels

Post by Jeff GTi »

looking for some thoughts on new wheels for the polo, im looking in to a set of schmids th lines in either of the below size setups

7.5j front and 8.0j rears
or
8.0j fronts and 8.5j rears

the concern is i still want to retain drivability and be able to throw the car round like a gti should be driven, without the issues of rubbing and scraping etc, so im thinking the first option above

should i go for it, or should i just not bother and be happy with the bbs's?

it would not be a case of 1 of the other, i would still keep the stock wheels for winter use and swap and change between the schmidts and the bbs's whenever the mood changed

im just thinking it would be cool to have a set of nice 16's as well as some nice 17's?

thoughts

cheers

I think you should go for it! if you've got the cash take the plunge, you know its guna look sweeeeet!
and the top option would probs be better if you still want to throw it about :)

can you get me a job at tesco? rich git

ha ha

i think 17's look better than 16's for looks but if you'r gonna be throwing it round corners and stuff i'd get the smaller sized ones like you said. i think 16" would look great.. get them :)

Leave um mate. Dont get me wrong....TH Lines look mint.....espesially with the carbon centre. But i dont think they will suit your car....or the 9n shape full stop.

If your after a new set of wheels i know someone with a fantastic set of cup eddition wheels in limited edition "Gloss Black" :D LOL

£700 And there yours.... :D

Stick with the BBS in my opinion.

Maybe get a lightweight set of 16's when you feel like having a raz around. Compomotive MO's or something.

i think they work, 16" would be a good choice, as the bigger TH-lines get the worse they look IMO. Why the staggered fitment?
