Lowering springs (GTi)

Post by PoloGTi »

I'm skint, but a mate of mine still takes the Michael about how my car needs lowering. So I reckon I'll just go and get a set of Springs on the car and save for coilovers later.

So what spring kits are there available for the GTi and are they all -30mm? Cos that doesn't look much lower at all. I'm sure I've seen a -60mm spring kit somewhere but I can't remember where.

Or... quite simply, what have you got and how much did you pay?

I've seen Spax spring kits for £90.00 and I know Eibach do a set.

Cheers!

Aha, I've found sommat.

Click here and scroll down: http://www.motormadness.co.uk/default.htm?page=187

There is a spring kit for Polo 1.0-1.6 16v that lowers -60mm and a kit for the Polo GTi 1.6 16v that lowers -30mm.

Will the first one fit the GTi?

Don't know if the 60mm ones would fit, They're for a 6N?
Even if they did, The GTi is already lower than the lesser models so they would only lower a GTi the same amount as the -30 mm springs.

PS. Sorry about the "lesser models" description, no offence meant :D
