Gearbox Oil Leak

Hi all,

Couple of days ago i replaced the clutch on my MK5 POLO and yesterday i noticed a patch of oil under my car,

Its coming from the gearbox shaft, took it to garage who said its the selector seal which is a common fault on these cars, got the part from VW dealers and the garage replaced it for me and said to me to just check when its parked up that it doesnt leak.

Apprantley its still got a small leak, haven't had time to take it to garage yet was wodnering could it be the gearbox casing that could be damaged eg cracked casing. or will it be the selector seal again.

Gearbox casing a definitely a possibilty. Get it checked out further mate, or poke your head under!

How much would it cost to get the gearbox casing replaced?
