new to polo ownership.. hello.

Post by cornish-duber »

Hey everyone, Ive just picked up a 6n saloon. 1.6l in what i think is storm grey. R plate.
will try n get a few pics up later on...

ive had lots of dubs before, ranging from a 55 beetle, beach buggys, 16v mk 1 golf and g60 rado, but this is my first polo-and im a proud owner.

Im keen to mod it up a bit, looking to lower it, clear indacators, de badged grill etc. i picked it up pretty cheap, all running well. just wondering where I can the grill/vents for the front bumper? do any come with spot lights built in?

Also im after a budget spring set/ possibly coilovers. what are people using that work.?? i love slammed dubs, but just not that practice as my daily ride, 40-50 mm At tops. The polo came with a pair of bsa 341 17" wheels. not sure they would fit with the lowering kit.
One last point-its quite lumpy in the mornings, i know its quite cold at the mo, but just wondering if the auto choke was sticking and a way of sorting it/ cleaning etc??
Anyways, thanks a lot, and im looking forward to ur replys...
ps anyone in cornwall????

Welcome to UK-Polos! :D

Looks like you're well and truly hooked on the VW marque!

A nice workable height for lowering  our Dub would be 60mm, any less & you will be uber dissappointed! Have a look at Venom's website for idea's & prices. Roughly, for a set of cheap coilies you're looking at £150-200 & for a spring/shox set around £120+.

Hope that helps. :)
