Turbo bolts Loose!!??

Today my exhaust started blowing , found the turbo bolts that hold it to the manifold were finger tight!!! :shock: :shock: :shock: re tightened em but they are bad to access , anyone else had this prob is there a fix! :roll:

mite be because of the bump you had in it. seen as you've tightened it see how it goes mate

been on vwwatercooled the oz site and a few have had this problem over there! But no one seems to be able to solve the problem?? i think ill ring awesome gti tommorow see if they heard anything bout it cos i dont fancy tightening them all the time! I got quite concered as the turbo was nearly hanging off!!!! :? :?

you will need to get a torque wrench and tighten to factory spec before doing so I would get new bolts from vw just incase they are damaged better spending a tenner now than spending mega if you don't catch them the next time slackening off in time.

I would check with vw as it may be a common problem and you may get it done foc.

tbh id rather pay and get it done right as i have no faith in vw dealerships at all due to previous experiences! :P ill see what awesome say tomo!! but i think its worth others checking if they are loose but they are a pain to get too under the pressure pipe down the back of the engine! :roll:
