Still having Problems. =(

Post by vw-po-low »

My Idle problem still haunts me! I've had this problem since i bought the polo a year ago. I've changed no end, Throttle body, Temp Sender, Plugs, Lift pump, Map sensor, and cleaned my throttle body. It's also been on vag com. I'm currently running it with the Map sensor disconnected as it runs better in default setting and dose not stall.

I never sussed this problem and it got worse as of yesterday. Coming back down the A1 i pulled into the services because i herd a funny noise coming from the n/s front of the car. i couldn't see anything wrong. Got back in the car started it up and drove.. it was all sluggish on low revs .. doing 30mph in 3rd gear its lumpy it was never like this before. I've bought some new plugs to fit and have also been told it may be the Coil Pack.

Any more advice?

The polo has only done 33k on a 97' anything i should be changing? i know I'm due an oil change as i have done 10k since I've had it.

Does vag-com flag anything?

Is the problem only on idle?

Have you looked at replacing the injectors?

Have you considered changing the ECU?
