Re: Fitting Coilovers!!
Look in the DIY section, there is a full guide.
Re: Fitting Coilovers!!
Simple to do, as long as you allow plenty of time & are patient!
Here's the link to the guide, loads of pics to give a good idea whats involved: http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... 10&t=33186
Wouldn't be surprised if a garage charged 25 quid (or more) per corner, plus on top of fitting (either you or garage) you'll have to have your alignment corrected which'll be around £40-50ish

Nah it's really not that hard. You always encounter problems though with bolts seizing etc... So put aside yourself double the time you'd expect to complete it by.

Thats a point, if you do have a go yourself make sure you give all the nuts you have to remove a generous squirt of WD40 each day for a couple of days before. Will help no end!Tim_GTi wrote:Nah it's really not that hard. You always encounter problems though with bolts seizing etc... So put aside yourself double the time you'd expect to complete it by.
Also make sure you've got all tools for the job to hand, from memory you will need:
1/ 21mm spanner
2/ 17mm spanner
3/ 17mm socket
4/ 6 or 7mm allen key (can't remember which! )
Think thats it!

Re: Fitting Coilovers!!
It's 7mm, not a common allen key size so double check that.
I'd have a break bar at hand, they save alot of frustration
